The Aravalli Range, also spelled Aravali Range, is an ancient mountain system stretching across northwestern India. Running generally from southwest to northeast through Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Delhi, the Aravallis form one of the most distinctive physical features of western India.

Unlike the dramatic, snow-covered Himalayas, the Aravallis are a deeply eroded mountain system. Billions of years of geological activity, weathering, and erosion have reduced much of the range to rounded hills, rocky ridges, isolated peaks, plateaus, and rugged escarpments. Even so, the range retains enormous geological importance: the Aravalli–Delhi belt preserves evidence of some of the earliest chapters in the evolution of the Indian continental crust.

The geology of the Aravalli Range is one of its most remarkable features.

The mountains form part of the Aravalli–Delhi orogenic belt, a northeast–southwest-trending zone of ancient crust in northwestern India. Aravalli Supergroup
