🪨 Geology
Cayambe is a compound stratovolcano formed through repeated eruptions over a long period of geological time. Unlike a simple, symmetrical volcanic cone, its structure includes overlapping volcanic edifices, lava domes, older eroded terrain, and younger eruptive centers.
