Rising to 7,295 meters (23,934 feet) in China’s remote Karakoram, Huang Guan Shan is one of the highest mountains on Earth and one of the least familiar peaks of comparable size. Also known simply as The Crown or Crown Peak, the mountain stands in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, northwest of K2, within the isolated Yengisogat section of the Karakoram.
