Elden Mountain

Elden Mountain is the rugged volcanic landmark that rises immediately northeast of Flagstaff, Arizona. Reaching approximately 9,305 feet (2,836 meters), the mountain towers more than 2,000 feet above the city and is one of the most recognizable features of the Flagstaff skyline.

📍 Where Is Elden Mountain?
Elden Mountain rises directly northeast of Flagstaff in northern Arizona’s Coconino National Forest.
Few Arizona mountains are so closely associated with a city. Elden’s steep southern slopes begin almost immediately beyond Flagstaff’s neighborhoods, and the mountain is visible from much of the community.

🌋 Geology of Elden Mountain
