The Cascade Range, often simply called the Cascades, is one of the great mountain systems of western North America. Stretching from southern British Columbia through Washington and Oregon into northern California, the range is famous for snow-covered volcanoes, rugged alpine terrain, deep forests, glaciers, waterfalls, and some of the most recognizable mountains in the Pacific Northwest.
